Bio
Alana Chan brings 15 years of experience in defining and executing digital programs with impactful results. As an expert in the field of applying digital innovations to activate consumer/audience behaviors and beliefs, Alana partners with client stakeholders to harness the power of technology to drive actions and transform mindsets. Alana’s work addresses a variety of topics from strategy to emerging technologies to connected experiences at the intersection of the digital and physical worlds, on platforms including mobile apps, websites, interactive games, virtual worlds, social media, augmented reality, and connected products.
Alana has served as the head of digital at kids entertainment companies including Spin Master and MGA Entertainment. She led the Business Unit team at Disney creating interactive content to drive engagement for ESPN, Pixar, Feature Animation, Disney Channel, and DisneyXD. Her work includes defining connected experiences for consumer products companies such as Mattel and Playmates Toys, and interactive museums in Boston and Berkeley. She has also applied her digital expertise advising on projects in the worlds of education, food, sports, fitness, lifestyle, and nature exploration and preservation.
Alana earned a BS in Product Design from Stanford University, and a master’s degree in Technology, Innovation, and Education from Harvard University.

Digital and social media now enable multi-directional conversations – between businesses and their customers, and even customers with each other. Alana recognizes the high value opportunities of this new model. She utilizes interactivity, customization, personalization, and collaboration to create deeper engagement between her clients and their customers.
Designed effectively, digital experiences have the ability to sway opinions and influence behaviors. Alana employs her knowledge of the principles of product design, UX, gamification, and social engineering to define digital programs to grow awareness, increase affinity, heighten loyalty, and drive demand.
